• Duane has 18 years of consulting experience in the fields of inward investment advisory, customs & international trade consulting, government grant and incentive advisory and sustainability & climate change consulting.
• He joined Deloitte Tax in April 1994 as a consultant and was admitted as a partner in January 2000.
• Duane set up his own consulting practice in 2012 called Cova Advisory & Associates which focuses on areas of Duane’s specific experience.

• Duane has advised many multinationals in setting up business in South Africa.
• Duane is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a registered tax practitioner.
• Duane has been widely quoted in the press on issues ranging from business set up, general taxation issues, automotive industry, customs & trade, government incentives, sustainability & climate change.
• Duane has spoken at numerous conferences including the World Economic Forum (2002), COP15 side event in Copenhagen, SADC investment conferences, Frontier Advisory Special Economic Zone lectures.
• Duane had his own column in the Business Day called “Duane’s World” for a few years.

• Duane has lead the Deloitte Global Customs & Trade business, the Tax Management Consulting business, the Government Grants business and most recently was the firm wide leader for the Sustainability & Climate Change practice for Deloitte South Africa.
