Location Strategy and Supply Chain Optimization across Europe
ICA was engaged by a European facility of US automotive company to optimize the operations of their Centralized Distribution Center (CDC). The CDC had significant capital investments in warehouse operations, human resources, and value added logistics as well as globally integrated IT systems. ICA evaluated the feasibility of CDC locations across Europe based on incentives, real estate and labor costs and also delivered a network optimization model based on their inbound and outbound supplies. Connections were also established with national and regional governments to further explore the incentive potential of the project. The project significantly contributed to the economic development of host regions. A recommendation to the board was delivered.
